Chautauqua's – Solo Historical Performances ready for that Community Event

Facilitated by Karen Haas, Historian and Story Teller (Tacoma, WA)

How many times has your community theatre been asked to provide entertainment at local community historical events? This workshop is designed to show you how to have a solo performer ready for that special event. Living History Teacher Karen Haas, shows you how to develop a one-person presentation. Topics include developing a historic “persona,” research, period attire (costuming), and marketing.

Active in historic re-enactments, Karen's solo living history presentations have captivated audiences at such diverse venues as National Historic Sites, Humanities lecture series, schools and senior centers. She has presented workshops on creating Chautauqua programs for historic sites and storytelling festivals.
